What an amazing series of events! The AJ Anderson Foundation and Florida Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases - FSU teamed up to bring together some of the most brilliant minds in medical research from around the world to Palm Harbor for the 1st Annual Pediatric Rare Disease Conference!

The full day Genomic & Precision Medicine Research Symposium united some of Florida’s most accomplished research & healthcare professionals while laying the foundation for long lasting national & international collaboration!

The fundraising events that followed brought in record setting numbers to support their transformative work & bring The Sunshine Genetics Program statewide!

We recently partnered with the A.J. Anderson Foundation to host our inaugural event, bringing together over 200 families, researchers, and advocates for a transformative Rare Disease Symposium featuring insightful updates on genomic newborn screening and advances in gene therapy.

This landmark gathering marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration dedicated to elevating voices, accelerating research, and improving outcomes for children and families affected by rare diseases.

18 years ago today we said “I do!” 🥂

My best friend, my partner in everything, and the only person I’d want by my side through all of life’s chaos, joy and everything in between.

18 years later and you still make me laugh harder than anyone, still amaze me, fight tirelessly together to make a difference, and still somehow put up with me….no small feat!

Here’s to 18 more 🍾 I love you more than words can ever express and thank God for you everyday. I’m the luckiest guy in the room — every room, as long as you’re in it Brianne Anderson!

It was a pleasure to welcome some of the most brilliant minds in genomic & precision medicine from around the country and as far as England to North Pinellas for the inaugural AJ Anderson Foundation & Florida Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases - FSU “Rare Disease Conference”

The 2 day event sold over 600 tickets uniting international experts in genomic NBS, gene therapy, data privacy & AI innovation in healthcare.

There was so much excitement in the room about how Florida is leading the nation with The Sunshine Genetics Act!

Proceeds from the event will help support the statewide expansion of this transformative program!

MAJOR FUNDRAISING: U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds and his affiliated political action committee have raised more than $81.1 million for his Florida gubernatorial bid since launching the campaign, including $13.8 million during April and May alone, his campaign announced.

The haul from more than 35,000 donors underscores Donalds’ strong financial position as he is the favorite to seek the Republican nomination for governor. The campaign said the total includes $9.2 million raised by Byron Donalds for Governor and $71.8 million by Friends of Byron Donalds PAC.

🇺🇸It was an unbelievable honor and surprise to be recognized with the “Statesman of the Year Award” at the Pinellas GOP annual Lincoln Day Dinner!
