📢 California employers: another important leave law update is on the horizon.

Beginning July 1, 2028, California's Paid Family Leave program will expand to allow eligible employees to take leave to care for a seriously ill designated person.

A designated person may include:
✔ A blood relative
✔ Someone whose relationship is equivalent to family

While this change isn't immediate, it's another reminder that California employment laws are constantly evolving.

The question is: when was the last time your employee handbook was reviewed?
