Well… I’ve put this post off as long as I could because to be quite honest… it just breaks my heart.

For the past 7 years I have had the honor and privilege of building a robotics program that I’m so proud of. I have guided and mentored some amazing kiddos who I know are going to change the world one day!! These kids have volunteered and mentored younger students, rallied our school and our community for the movement of STEM and computer science, and competed in 3 international tournaments. One of them being Worlds which is literally the highest achievement of a robotics team!! Just WOW!!

It has been the most rewarding years for me, and I have made memories that I will cherish for a lifetime… But my husband has recently accepted a new position in North Carolina and my family will be relocating at the end of this school year. 😭 Here come the tears!!

I’m honestly not sure where Imagine Robotics goes from here, but I do know that no matter where I’m located… I will cheer on, mentor, and love these kids no matter what…

We want to THANK everyone for all of the support that we have received! We have the best community in Flagler and I know that our Imagine Robotics program would not have been as successful without the help of each one of you. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!! Look out for these scholars though!! They are all phenomenal and are going to do amazing things!! Electro-Lions I’m so very proud of you… and coaching you has been one of the greatest joys and accomplishments of my life!!

6 years ago this kid right here was one of my students that helped me start Imagine Robotics. He was on my first ISTC team and helped us get to Razorbacks at Arkansas. He continued on his FIRST journey in Mississippi and is now at LSU studying mechanical engineering!! What is so special is that even as a college student, Hunter still mentors for another FRC team. Today we got to see him in action. It was so special for this coach to see him at Worlds. We are so proud of you Hunter!!

That’s a wrap on day 3. We started off the day with a few issues with our robot, but these kids kept on persevering and our last run was our highest of 360. We were 1 run away from our perfect score but we were still so elated at their performance. We got to dance with Mexico, talk with our Alliance partners for tomorrow, AND next seasons challenge was revealed.

Day 2 is in full force… we have had 2 robot practice runs, innovation presentation, and getting to know some of our friends from around the world. The Netherlands team taught us a new game and now that’s all the kids want to play. So cool!!

The Electro-Lions

The Electro-Lions from Imagine School at Town Center is made up of (10) 8th grade rookie team in the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) program and on February 23, 2019 they won 2nd Place Champion’s Award at the FLL Northeast Florida Championship. Having won 2nd place, they won the bid to represent their team, school, town of Palm Coast and Flagler County at Florida State Invitational in Delray Beach, FL in April. And in May, they will be showcasing their talent at the World event in Arkansas at the Razorback Invitational. At this tournament they will be competing against teams from around the world, (Australia, Nigeria, South Korea, Sweden, etc...) as well as teams from all over USA.

So far in this competitive season, our team have managed to get by with support from their families and small fundraising efforts as a rookie team, but as they are now entering the biggest stages of their young academic lives they are reaching out to you, our community, corporate leaders, business leaders, families and friends to help them get to their biggest stage.

If you or your company would like to donate / sponsor their Trek to State and to Razorback Invitational, please visit our “GoFundMe” page.

Thank you and we appreciate any assistance you may provide them on their journey INTO ORBIT!
