🇺🇸 U19 Trials Update 🇺🇸

Just one day after the conclusion of the USRowing Youth National Championships, Treasure Coast Rowing Club athletes were back on the water competing against the fastest junior scullers in the country at the U19 Trials at Nathan Benderson Park.

🔥 Jack Ragland (Junior) finished 6th overall in this morning’s time trial, earning a spot in Tuesday’s final where only the top six athletes will race for a chance to represent Team USA at the World Rowing Championships.

💪 Luke McManus (Sophomore) delivered an incredible performance, finishing 7th overall, narrowly missing the final by a single place. What makes Luke’s result even more impressive is that he came directly from competing all weekend at the USRowing Youth National Championships, showing remarkable toughness and determination against the nation’s best junior scullers.

Tomorrow, Jack will line up with the fastest U19 athletes in America as he battles for a coveted spot on the U.S. National Team.

Please join us in congratulating both Jack and Luke on representing Treasure Coast Rowing Club at the highest level and wishing Jack the best of luck in the final!

Treasure Coast Rowing Club is heading to Youth Nationals!

After months of brutal workouts, long travel weekends, and countless hours on the water, several of our rowers have officially qualified to compete at the USRowing Youth National Championships in Sarasota at Nathan Benderson Park this June.

For these athletes, this is more than just another regatta. It’s the highest level of youth rowing in the country — and they’ve earned the opportunity to race against the best crews in the nation.

As a nonprofit, community-based program, the cost of Nationals adds up quickly. Training, boat transportation, lodging, entry fees, food, and equipment all become part of the journey. Our goal is to raise $8,500 to help reduce the financial burden on our families and make sure every athlete who qualified has the chance to fully experience this opportunity.

If Treasure Coast Rowing Club has ever impacted your family, inspired your child, or made you proud to be part of this community, we would truly appreciate your support.

Every donation — big or small — helps move these athletes one step closer to the starting line.

Along with the signing ceremony, the team also gathered together to christen a new boat. We are proud to officially unveil the “Lee-thal Stroke” — named in honor of the late Lee Williams, whose impact on Treasure Coast Rowing Club and the people within it will never be forgotten. The decal on the boat was created using Lee’s own handwriting, making this tribute even more special. Lee’s support, generosity, and spirit touched so many throughout the program and helped shape the community we have today.

The naming ceremony was made even more meaningful with Lee’s daughter, Joy, and husband, Glenn, there to celebrate alongside the team. We are incredibly grateful for the Williams family and honored to carry Lee’s legacy forward every time this boat takes the water.

Today the team gathered together to celebrate JREC President & Senior AJ Geiser (‘26) as he officially signed his commitment papers to continue his academic and rowing career at the United States Naval Academy. Surrounded by teammates, coaches, friends, and family, AJ marked the beginning of an incredible next chapter built on years of hard work, discipline, and leadership both on and off the water.

We are beyond proud to have watched AJ grow through our program and cannot wait to see everything he accomplishes at Navy.

GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY!
