This week we would like to feature Valerie. She has been here for almost 3 months and has made beautiful progress in her time at Rock Bottom Ranch! She is an absolute gem. This is her story:

My name is Valerie Marie. I am 33 years old and from Longview, Texas. Prior to being released from prison, I was running from the truth that I was an addict and alcoholic. The choices I made in addiction led me far away from my son and family.
My addiction made me sick, and I was running away from everyone who loved me. The lies I believed tormented me and drove me to a very dark, scary place, which became my reality. Due to the bad choices I made in my addiction, I became homeless, and then went to prison. I had nowhere to live and no clue what to do or where to go after prison. I was scared that I would be all alone.
I cried out to God and told Him I never wanted to go back to the dark place I was stuck in for so long. God knew I needed clarity of who is King and to go through a spiritual renewal. He opened the door for me to come to Rock Bottom Ranch. Before he shows us His plans, we must be reminded who He is. I am so glad and thankful to be here at Rock Bottom Ranch learning more about Him each day.
