Just received our 2026 Charity Navigator rating!!!

Thanks to Rebecca Cole and family for providing industrial shelving to First Resource Center!

Special thanks to teams from Montalba Baptist Church, Cedar Creek Baptist and some of our regular volunteers, that helped take down and move the shelving.

This helps us towards the 2026 goal of creating a mini-hub distribution center with MidWest Food Bank that can reach even more families in need in East Texas!

Imagine FRC in Palestine helping pantries in Corsicana, Buffalo, Fairfield, Jacksonville and Rusk with food provided by MidWest to give out to those in need in these communities!

We are getting closer to meeting this challenge!

Still in need of a "reach lift" to use to put pallets up on those shelves!

What a week at FRC! On Monday we hosted the Chamber of Commerce Palestine Leadership team for a tour, discussion on the value of volunteerism and lunch!

On Wednesday, Angela Howell-Fields, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce came out and presented the awards received at the annual Chamber event. "The Lifetime Achievement" Award to Harold and Barbara Pettit, our founders and the "Non-Profit of the Year" Award to FRC.

Pleased to share that the Palestine Chamber of Commerce tonight announced that First Resource Center was selected as "Non-Profit of the Year".

Beyond that, our founders, Harold and Barbara Pettit were also selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award! What a wonderful honor for their 25+ years of service to this community!
