I’ve been looking forward to this round all year, and if you’ve ever been to Snowshoe, you already know why. The racing is wild, the scenery is unreal, and the stories that come out of this mountain are always legendary.

Absolutely blew my mind what the GritShift boys are doing on these little E-Motos. I’m so used to rides like this being done on 250s, 450s, and 500s, but with a couple upgrades these things seem capable of just about anything you’d do on a gas bike… just without the noise.

As someone who enjoys exploring places I’m not always technically “supposed” to be, that part is pretty appealing. 🤣

I’m suddenly obsessed with these little bikes. What a fun day. 🤘

Snowshoe Saturdays… nothing like it. 🤣

I’m seriously considering spending the entire Pro ATV race camped out in Howard’s Hole. Last year I intentionally made it my last stop because I figured I should probably go take some actual race photos first.

But let’s be honest… when you’ve got mud, carnage, spectators, and pure Appalachian nonsense happening in one place, it’s hard to justify shooting anything normal. 🤣

Pre-order details coming in the next couple days, but this has to be one of the best rounds of the year for photos. No matter where you point a camera at Snowshoe, it’s either beautiful… or completely unhinged. And sometimes both. 🤘🤣

A trend I didn’t think I’d see again… but then again… who ever thought mullets would be in style again?

Pixel stretching… Much easier when your subject is completely vertical or horizontal. But we made this work with a few extra steps. Turned out pretty rad I think.

The problem with turning something you love into your job is that sometimes you start looking at it as work instead of something you actually enjoy.

I don’t carry a camera outside of work nearly as much as I should. It’s something I’ve been trying to get better about, but honestly, it’s not very convenient. My cameras are all big, expensive professional bodies, and most of the stuff I enjoy doing isn’t exactly “carry a camera everywhere” friendly.

I think I’m gonna pick up a small little Fuji soon. Something I can just keep in my pocket all the time.

There’s something cool about looking back at random photos that don’t really tell a story to anyone but you and the people who were there. Little moments that would’ve otherwise just faded away.

Anyways, here’s a handful of random frames from the few times I actually remembered to bring a camera with me over the last month or two.

Something about a blonde and an old Chevy just makes sense.

Shame to see this thing rusting away in the middle of the woods. Even in its current state, it’s cooler than anything they’re putting out these days.

Figured it deserved one more day in front of the camera. Thanks Carly Lee for helping me make it happen. 🤘
