The Renaissance Mouse

Though I never finished this one, somehow I feel it made it even better, sort of mesmerizing, as if the picture is appearing out of the paper.

Spinning 100% llama

Guess I was feeling a bit Christmasy in July.. finished my table runner and made two doily snowflakes. The green one is made from 100 yr old thread on spools I bought at an antique store. It was a challenge because it was so fragile and kept breaking. I added red beads but they’re hard to see.

It says “Ships of the desert” in Arabic. I was inspired by a tv show I was watching that was talking about camels being the ships of the desert. Being the highly creative semi-romantic daydreamer I am, I immediately had several images pop in my head, one of which was this tesselation of ships and camels. Thought it would be good for my sketchbook project. I might explore this idea more later.
