A home should be more than a place to live; it should feel secure.

For the children at our Namayemba Children’s Home, we are raising funds to build a security wall to provide additional protection around the place they call home.

This project is about strengthening what already exists: a space where children are cared for, nurtured, and given the chance to grow up surrounded by love and stability.

What a beautiful first day in Uganda for our Vision Team!

After a restful night and breakfast together, our team hit the road east toward Bugiri, and enjoyed some favorite local foods along the way.

When they arrived, they were welcomed with joyful smiles, singing, dancing, and so many hugs. They shared lunch together, celebrated June birthdays with cake, and watched special moments unfold as sponsors connected with their children.

Our team also spent time supporting the amazing women of the RUTH program before ending the day with dinner, devotion, and sharing our highs and lows together.

Thank you for praying for our team. We are grateful for every moment and excited for all God has in store in the days ahead! 🇺🇬

At Beyond Uganda, one of our priorities is creating safe, stable environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

As we continue serving children at our Namayemba Children’s Home, we are raising funds to build a security wall around the property.

Here’s why this matters:

SAFETY
A perimeter wall provides an added layer of security around the home, helping protect the children, caregivers, and staff who live and serve there every day.

PRIVACY
Children deserve a place where they can grow up with dignity and stability, in an environment that feels secure and cared for.

PEACE OF MIND
When a home is secure, children are freer to focus on being children—learning, playing, and healing without unnecessary worry or distraction.

We were so excited to welcome missionary teams from Praying Pelicans from across the country including Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi and Moore.

These teams travel nationwide serving alongside ministries and churches to help accomplish Kingdom work in practical and powerful ways.

One of the teams is partnering with our church partner Mt. Zion Baptist Church on a community container project helping build out shipping containers that will soon be sent to Uganda as a library and computer lab.

We are so grateful to lock arms together in this work and thankful for the opportunity to host them, share our heart, and show what God is doing through Beyond Uganda.

Grateful for the local coverage highlighting what’s happening on the ground with our container project. What started as two shipping containers is quickly becoming a library and computer lab because of a community that shows up, rolls up its sleeves, and serves together.

We’re still in the early stages, and there’s plenty of work ahead, but this is exactly what it looks like when churches, families, and volunteers come together for something bigger than themselves.

Today is the kickoff workday for an exciting project that will have an impact far beyond our community!

Volunteers are currently hard at work transforming two shipping containers into a future library and computer lab for children in Uganda. These spaces will provide opportunities for learning, growth, and access to resources that can help shape futures.

This is just the beginning, and we’d love for churches, community groups, families, and individuals to be part of what we’re building together. Our goal is for this to be a true community project: one community coming together to serve and invest in another community across the world.
