As a homeschooling advocate, I get so excited about other parents who are choosing to take responsibility for their children's education. Unfortunately it can get overwhelming when you reach subjects you don't feel confident in. But you CAN do it!

With math, sometimes all you need is someone proficient who can come along side you and your student to give you the confidence to succeed. Hiring a tutor can help keep you on track for your education goals, and prevent your student from feeling stuck on something you may have a hard time with yourself.

If you have a co-op or homeschool group, reach out to me about what a group rate might be for your students. I can come in and work with them as a group, and then work individually to give them the attention they need.

Math literacy can start as anything, even playtime! This pre-k math activity has my son matching seeds to pumpkins based on the number on the seeds. He's learning to read the words for each number, count dots and talleys, and read the hand signs for them. The best part is that it's not work - it's fun!

Math was always my BEST subject when I was in school, and I got my bachelor's degree in mathematics. The small baptist college I attended had a great instructor who could give me one-on-one instruction in many of my classes. I know firsthand how beneficial that kind of learning can be, and I consider myself lucky that I had extra help in some difficult courses.
