Hot springs, alpine lakes, jagged peaks, and world-class views. — Day 1: Tahoe → Mammoth (~3.5 hr drive, A on map) • Lake Tahoe – start at sunrise with mountain views and glassy water • Devil’s Postpile – a short hike to a mind-bending rock formation • Rainbow Falls – stunning color when the light hits right Overnight: Mammoth Lakes (B on map) — Day 2: Mammoth → Big Pine (~1.5–2 hr drive) • Lake George – tucked above town with unreal reflections (Mammoth Lakes Basin) • Hot Creek Geological Site – 15 min south of Mammoth Lakes, with brilliant blue runoff and steam vents that look prehistoric • Convict Lake – just off Hwy 395, world-class reflections with Sierra backdrops Overnight: Big Pine (C on map) — Day 3: Big Pine → Alabama Hills (~1.5 hr drive) • Big Pine Lakes – glacier-fed turquoise water with alpine views (optional hike) • Alabama Hills – arches, photogenic rock shapes, and Mt.
