One of my favorite times of the year is finally here.
We're starting to pick tomatoes, peppers, basil, and other summer goodies, with much more on the way. There is something special about walking out the back door and gathering food you grew yourself.
What are you harvesting from your garden right now?
We'd love to hear what's growing in your neck of the woods!

Elderflowers Are Blooming in Missouri! πΏ
The elderflower blossoms are putting on a show across Missouri right now. Not only are they beautiful and fragrant, but they've been used for generations in teas, syrups, cordials, and traditional herbal remedies.
Some potential benefits of elderflowers include:
β¨ Rich in antioxidants
β¨ Traditionally used to support the immune system during cold and flu season
β¨ May help ease congestion and support respiratory health
β¨ Often used in herbal teas to promote sweating during fevers
β¨ Contains plant compounds that may help support healthy blood sugar levels and reduce inflammation, though more research is needed.
We love seeing these blooms at the farm because they signal that elderberries aren't far behind! Soon these delicate flowers will transform into the dark berries we use for syrup.
