Meet Mrs. Mahoney ✨
A Crosspoint alumna with eight years in education, Mrs. Mahoney now teaches our 3rd & 4th grade Cougars—bringing her own Crosspoint story full circle. She brings both experience and a deep love for our school community into her classroom.
Mrs. Mahoney loves challenging her students to do their very best—and celebrating right alongside them when they discover just how much they’re capable of. Her hope is that every child in her classroom feels loved and encouraged while growing in confidence, character, and ownership of their learning.
At the heart of it all is something even more important: helping her students understand that their value comes from their Heavenly Father, what it means to follow Jesus Christ, and how to have a heart for people around the world.
We’re excited for another year with Mrs. Mahoney at Crosspoint!

Meet Mrs. Wright ✨
Some teachers simply teach lessons. Others help shape a lifelong foundation.
Mrs. Wright is entering her second year at Crosspoint and brings 10 years of educational experience, including nine years homeschooling her own children. A graduate of Pensacola Christian College, she is passionate about helping students grow academically while pointing them toward Christ each day.
One of her greatest joys is watching students discover a love for reading and seeing the thoughtful conversations that unfold during Bible class. She prays every child leaves her classroom knowing that God loves them and desires a personal relationship with them.
We’re so thankful for the wisdom, warmth, and Christ-centered heart Mrs. Wright brings to our 1st & 2nd grade students each day.

We had an old student from our building’s past pass through Pacific yesterday. Anybody recognize this guy?
Thank you Noah Giles for popping in to see the progress on the building. We loved getting to hear your memories from your time as a 6th grader here—he found his locker right away! We’re so excited to be part of this building’s story in Pacific, and we can’t await to hear more memories this coming fall when we host an Open House for the Pacific community at large. More info about that opportunity at a later date.

Meet Mrs. Nielsen ✨
Some of the biggest moments in our little cougar classrooms happen when a child realizes, “I can do this.” The first word they read on their own. The confidence to try again. The smile that comes from discovering something new.
That’s what Mrs. Nielsen loves most about teaching.
Now entering her third year at Crosspoint, Mrs. Nielsen teaches our Pre-K & Kindergarten students with patience, encouragement, and a desire to help every child grow academically and in their faith. She believes every child learns differently and strives to create a classroom where each student feels known, supported, and confident.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Mrs. Nielsen is also a lifelong sports fan who enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the St. Louis Cardinals.
We’re grateful for the joy, purpose, and Christ-centered heart she brings to Crosspoint each day.

Three days. One team. One goal.
The Boys Basketball Program hosted its 2026 Summer Basketball Camp. From sixth grade through seniors, our athletes came ready to compete, learn, and give their best each day as they worked through drills, scrimmages, and team development.
One of the highlights of camp was gathering as one program to share the vision, culture, and purpose behind Crosspoint Basketball. The excitement surrounding this team continues to grow, and we can’t wait to see what this season has in store.
A special thank you to Head Coaches Scott Stroup and Ed Nielsen and their Assistant Coaches Kevin Kibbons and Jace Stroup for investing their time, leadership, and hearts into these young men on and off the court.
We’re also grateful to Mrs. Tubbs for providing pizza night to end the camp.
The foundation has been laid. Now it’s time to get to work. 🏀 🐾

It’s Tuesday—which means soccer scrimmage.
Throughout the summer, Head Coach Lance Callaway has invited our girls and boys soccer players to come together each Tuesday for open scrimmages and time back on the field.
We’re grateful for the way our coaches continue investing in our athletes even in the off-season.
The work starts now. Go Cougars. 🖤💛
