We’re happy to close out 2023 with wonderful news reported by WJLA-TV (ABC7) this month that featured our local hero Dominic Walker, who received a generous donation from CEO Tanya Whitaker and her Virginia-based nonprofit organization STATDC. The organization promotes food security and economic stability in our community. Congratulations to Dominic and huge thanks to Tanya for her signifiant contributions to communities in the DMV and neighboring areas. This week, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors presented burn survivor Dominic Walker with a special commendation for his heroic act of saving his daughter Mariah from a burning home on July 17. Special thanks to the Board and the Honorable Margaret Angela Franklin—Woodbridge District Supervisor—for this recognition.
