A new and exciting chapter for Mission Produce.
After 43 years building Mission from a 35-foot office trailer into a global category leader, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman Steve Barnard has passed the torch to John Pawlowski, our new Chief Executive Officer.
"Mission Produce has real history, real purpose, and real momentum, and I couldn't be more excited about where we're headed." — John Pawlowski (President & CEO)

A warm welcome to our 2026 Summer Intern class! 🍦
This week kicked off with one of our favorite Mission traditions—the Intern Ice Cream Social, where our interns serve up scoops to the team as a fun way to meet everyone and break the ice (pun intended).
We’re thrilled to have this talented group joining us for the summer, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll bring to the team.
Welcome to Mission!
📢BIG NEWS: We have officially completed our acquisition of Calavo Growers– strengthening our position as a leader in the worldwide fresh produce business. 🌎
As one combined organization, we are building a true produce powerhouse with expanded sourcing and packing capabilities and a diversified portfolio of complementary fresh produce categories 🥑🥭🍅. This also marks our entrance into the high-growth prepared foods segment (hello, guac!).
Calavo brings more than a century of trusted relationships with growers, customers, and communities across North America, and we couldn't be more proud to welcome their team into the Mission family.
For our customers, this means more comprehensive end-to-end service, greater supply reliability, and enhanced flexibility. And for our partners, growers, employees, and shareholders — greater value as we look to drive growth and innovation across the fresh produce industry.
Thank you to the incredible teams who helped make this happen. We're incredibly excited for the future we're building together.
