Blood drive this Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 10 to 4 at Friendship Baptist Church! The kids will be rehearsing for the Christmas program that morning, so come donate blood at the same time. Save a life and make a difference! ❤ PLEASE SHARE!

Hey, , don’t forget the all-important rubber band around your shoebox to help your stuff stay contained! The boxes will be double-checked at the distribution center and need to re-open easily. 😉 No tape, please! They're due back to church this Sunday!

We received the following email this evening from Ms. Webb (pictured below), the School Counselor for Ator Heights Elementary:

"I have never known children being so excited about socks, underwear, hats, etc. The children that I have given the coats to wore them to the assembly, even though it was stuffy in our new gym. The little girl who had her foot drawn [because I was unsure of shoe size] loved her boots. Her sister didn't want to wear her shoes because she didn't want to get them dirty. I told her it was okay. The silver Gap jacket fit her perfectly. The first girl I had try on the black and white checked coat was a perfect fit as well. We put a red scarf and gloves with it and she was ready for a fashion show! (Huge smile and all). Thank you sooo much! I feel so bad that all the givers couldn't see the full blessing that was shown through smiles and giggles. I will write an official thank you note, but couldn't wait to tell you what I witnessed this afternoon. Thank you!"

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Cold Weather Clothes for Kids benefiting the four Title 1 Owasso elementary schools! We were able to fulfill all the schools' requests (to help 76 kids) - and more! We even had some adult sizes donated, and those will go to the Owasso high school's clothing closet. The schools were blown away by your generosity. Thank you for being a blessing to the kids in our community! ❤

Shoebox Tip: Did you know Ivory soap is one of the only soaps (maybe the only one) that float? Many kids in third world countries must bathe in rivers or streams, so it is helpful to have soap that floats. We also found 97-cent soap containers at Wal-Mart. Shoeboxes are due back by Sunday night, 11/19!

Friendship family, we need about 10 more trunks for our Trunk-n-Treat event. Participants just need to hand out candy. It will be in the Friendship parking lot on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7-8:30 p.m. Trunk decorations should be family-friendly and in good taste. Can you help us? If so, please contact the church office!

Please help us reach our goal of 76 coats for disadvantaged kids in Owasso elementary schools. Wal-Mart has kids coats for $17.97. Can you pick one up to help out a child in need? Here are the sizes needed by this Sunday:

We're so excited about the Cold Weather Clothes for Kids drive! We've received a good number of socks, gloves, hats, and scarves! However, we still need kids shoes and kids coats. We found a great deal on winter boots. Would anyone want to sponsor a pair for disadvantaged kids? If so, stop by the Community Impact kiosk this Sunday. ❄❤❄
