These pups cleaned up well and are just adorable. They are very friendly and very food motivated which will help make training easier.

These are Othello Mutts and for those of you who are new to our page, that just means the puppies probably have 10 different breeds in them. We have the craziest mixes in the area and we've learned we can't assume anything by just looking at a puppy. That said, we think these are very much a small breed mix.

If you live life on the wild side, then one of these pups are just what you are looking for and you can find out later with a DNA test, what you have!

We'll give you a hint though, we think these very likely have Chihuahua in them.

Zion is the only male, the rest are female. The pups are approx. 2.5 months old.

These three pups came from the gentleman who keeps us supplied with the orange cats. We found out that not only does he have a gazillion cats, he found a stray dog who had these puppies so he asked if we could help with them.
Mom is a little long haired mixed breed girl who weighs 11 pounds. Dad is unknown, but these pups are long and low with stumpy little legs. Rayne is chocolate color and the shyest one. The two males are black and slightly larger.
They weren't sure about having a photo shoot so these aren't the best pictures we've ever posted but hopefully, they give you an idea of what they look like and if you are interested, we can try and get a few more for you.
The three survived parvo thanks to everyone who helped with donations for the monoclonal antibodies that our vet was able to give them. The pups are now healthy and ready for adoption.
Rayne: small mixed breed, female, 3.5 months
Dweller: small mixed breed, male, 3.5 months
Palladium: small mixed breed, male, 3.5 months

Our orphan pups from last week have been named and are doing well with the care they are getting from the Ridge Dogs Handlers.
If you didn't see our post last week, these pups were found on the side of the road with their mama a few feet away from them where she had been hit and didn't survive. It's a mystery how these small pups ended up on the side of the road when they weren't really old enough to walk but it doesn't matter now because they are in good hands.

Here's the update from the Ridge: Meet our “Toy Story puppies”
On Friday 6/12/26 we took in 4- 2 week old puppies. Their momma had been killed and they were sitting on the side of the road.. Without a momma handlers have been tasked with bottle feeding these pups 24/7 for the next couple of weeks.
They’ve been with us for almost a week and all are doing good thus far. We are glad these babies were found before something bad happened to them too.
Below you’ll find their pictures as well as the characters they were named after💙

Sterling has graduated from the Ridge Dog Training Program! He's a big, gentle giant that came in as a stray awhile back and was adopted but if you follow our page, you might remember that story. He may have been with livestock once upon a time but anymore, he just wants to come in the house and be a lounge lizard.
Sterling thinks he's retired now and just wants to be someone's best companion.
This is what the Ridge Dogs had to say in their post awhile back:
Sterling!🐾 He will be graduating and ready for his forever home soon!
This boy jumped into action and donated blood to save another dog and then the next day he come to our program.
The handlers love to joke that he moves as fast as a snail which isn’t very😂
He’s learning his cues, potty trained and leash walking.
This gentle giant can’t wait to find his forever home.
If you are interested please complete an application with Adams County Pet Rescue!!
He's fine with cats and other dogs! His age is approx. 5 -7 yrs.

PENDING ADOPTION

Huckleberry entered the Ridge Dog Training Program in March. For those of you that having a puppy that has already started learning all of the basics and doing fantastic with their cues, Huck might be what you are looking for. You wouldn't believe it but pups this young that have gone through this training program, already out shine most dogs that are far older with their training.

What the Ridge Dogs wrote about Huck:
Reintroducing Huckleberry!
Huck is the last of his siblings to find a home! We can’t believe it!!
This boy was born in March and came to our program at 1 day old. He has completed basic obedience training, potty training, house manners, tricks, etc!
He is ready to make his escape! Let’s find him a home!
His mom was spring- who is about 9 pounds, dad is unknown.
If you are interested please complete an application with Adams County Pet Rescue!

All 8 pounds of Peanut wants to say hi! He's just the best little guy and he's looking forward to finding a new home.
His little paws were raw from pacing so much when he first came in but we've found a group of small dogs for him to play with and he's settling in to life at the shelter.....which is a good thing but also, we don't want him to think he's living here forever.

Give us a call for more information about our special boy, Peanut.

Pirelli, one of the pups Kaitlyn found hunkered down in a tire headed into the Ridge Dog Training Program recently. He's a little over four months old. His mama is the sweetest Pitbull that has been adopted and his dad, Yokohama is a Doodle type boy.
Pirelli's two siblings have been adopted and we thought he would do well in the Ridge Dogs Training Program, making him more adoptable.

Here is Pirelli's first update from the Ridge:
Meet Pirell!
Adams County Pet Rescue pup!
He joined our program last week! Today he enjoyed kicking back with the program coordinator while getting all the treats and toys!💙
We have no doubt that this boy is going to make someone extremely happy once he completes our program!

If you could see where these puppies were left, you would truly understand that it was a death sentence for them.
A dryland wheat farmer east of Hwy 395 was out checking his wheat fields yesterday when he came across these two puppies. Where they were found, there are miles and miles of wheat fields, not houses or humans.

It was just pure chance that he happened to come across them when he did and it was lucky he could catch them.

They were hungry and dehydrated but they will be fine, although they are thin.

The two girls are scared but trusting. We hope they will find humans who love them soon.
