Prairie Point fifth-grader Xiwen Chen teamed up with his father to research animal rights and present their work at Northwestern University's Animal Law Symposium. Their poster was one of just six selected, creating a memorable experience in learning, leadership, and family partnership.

This morning, one of our own Prairie Point students had an exciting arrival with the OPD in their BearCat vehicle after winning the experience as a prize at the 5th-grade party! A big thank you to OPD for providing such an amazing experience and helping create a special memory for this student and his classmates.

The kids in Ms. Gbur's 1st Grade finished out the school year learning about insects and butterflies. The students and their teacher recently released the butterflies they raised from baby caterpillars and bid farewell to their butterfly friends. The release was a chance to practice the goodbyes that will be shared with one another as the students get ready to move onto 2nd grade.

First graders in 1B had fun reading together using finger flashlights.

1B stepped up to 2nd grade.

1B visited 2H to learn all about second grade. We are excited for second grade learning. Thanks for teaching us 2H!
