Always A Missioner
A Network of ALL Maryknoll Lay Missioners: current and returned
Maryknoll Lay Missioners has a saying “Once a Missioner, Always a Missioner”; “Once a Maryknoller, Always a Maryknoller”, because your mission experience doesn't end when your years of service are over and you decide to transition home. The time you spent in Mission with Maryknoll Lay Missioners (MKLM) will continue to enrich your life, both personally and professionally. And, in keeping connected with MKLM you'll have new opportunities to share what you've experienced in Mission.

He worked closely with MKLM missioners in Latin America and was very supportive of lay ministry. Fr. Tom facilitated the Theology of Mission course for the MKLM Orientation Program for many years. In 2019, MKLM recognized his contribution to the Program by giving him a plaque of appreciation. Fr. Tom was also the Maryknoll Society representative to the MKLM Mission Assembly until the end of 2021.
We will miss him and send condolences to his family and the Maryknoll Society.

Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Carolyn Bosse (Class of 1985- Chile) who died recently. She and husband Ron served many years with Maryknoll Lay Missioners before their retirement. Please keep Ron and family in prayer.
Maryknoll Lay Missioners is deeply saddened by the news that Fr. Jack Sullivan, MM, died this morning.
Father Jack was greatly instrumental in the founding of the Maryknoll lay mission program. When the program was officially established in June 1975, Father Jack was its first director and Maryknoll Sister Mary Anne O’Donnell its assistant director. The following year Chuck Lathrop joined them, and the three formed an “ecclesial team” of co-directors for the first few years of the Maryknoll lay mission program.
Throughout our history, Father Jack collaborated closely with Maryknoll Lay Missioners and remained a spiritual guide, mentor and enthusiastic cheerleader to the association.
Father Jack passed away on August 9 at the Society Center in Maryknoll, New York. He was 87 years old and a Maryknoll priest for 61 years.
Condolences to the family of Kathy Dunford, Class of 2008-Kenya, who died this weekend. Kathy’s sons Stephen and John thank the Maryknoll community for their support. Stephen said that his mom’s time with Maryknoll and her time in Kitale, Kenya were very precious and meaningful to her. Please pray for Kathy and her family.
Today we will hold blessing for newly returning missioners Rick Dixon (Class of 2011- El Salvador), Maria Montello (Class of 2011- Cambodia) and Hiep Vu and Tawny Thanh (Classes of 2000 and 2015- Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand and Bolivia). We wish them well as they continue their mission journeys wherever that may be.

Condolences to Cecilia Espinoza (Class of 1985) and her family on the death of her father. Pedro Hector Espinoza Bravo passed away early this morning in Santiago, Chile. He was 91 yrs old.
He was very active and enjoyed getting out on the patio or on the sidewalk and sharing with people. The Covid Lockdowns they have had in the barrio and being enclosed day after day effected him greatly. But in mind he was sharp until the end.
Please keep Cecilia and her family in prayer.
