🏞 The results are in!
Out of the 180 pieces of trash recorded during our July 31st Crater Lake Cleanup, over 70% was made of plastic.
This cleanup is part of the nationwide Plastic-Free Parks TrashBlitz initiative, where volunteers collect trash and log data in an effort to mitigate plastic pollution in our National Parks and other federally-owned lands.
💚 Our favorite part of the trip was the water refill station at the Steel Visitor Center that uses purified water from Annie Spring.
We can’t recycle our way out of the plastic pollution problem, but we can be the change we want to see. One way we can do this is by contributing to the campaign!
Visit to learn more, and visit our link in bio to read the full breakdown of our trip in our blog!

💅When your reusable bag matches your shoes
💚 Remembering to use a reusable bag is a small step for many that can lead to many more impactful actions that combat the climate crisis. Consumer preference is a powerful tool to drive change.

💚 What goes around, comes around
We collaborated with NYC-based digital artist, Carly Nalven, for a friendly reminder to treat others and Mother Earth how we would like to be treated. Please be gentle and kind to one another, and most of all, be kind to our collective Mother by refusing single-use plastics whenever possible.

In the past 5 years, California has weathered more than $50 billion in damages for climate crisis fueled disasters like wildfires.
The costs of these damages is estimated to reach $113 billion by 2050.
California residents should not pay these costs, the companies responsible for these climate-fueled disasters should.
Let’s make that happen. Let’s pass the Polluters Pay Climate Cost Recovery Act.
“This bill would enact the Polluters Pay Climate Cost Recovery Act of 2024 and would establish the Polluters Pay Climate Cost Recovery Program to be administered by the California Environmental Protection Agency to require fossil fuel polluters to pay their fair share of the damage caused by the sale of their products.” - SB 1497 Polluters Pay Climate Cost Recovery Act of 2024.

🥕 PSA: You don’t have to use those single-use produce bags at the grocery store. A lightweight reusable bag, or better yet, nothing at all works just fine!
We toss large produce that isn’t easily damaged, like lemons, potatoes, etc., straight into the cart, as we’re just going to wash them before eating anyway.
Smaller or more delicate produce like mushrooms, green onions, etc go into our reusable bags for convenience and protection. Our Organic Mesh Drawstring Bags have a tare weight of just 0.74 oz. / 21 gm!
