You have all the pieces you need, but you can't quite figure out how to organize them in a way that makes sense, and that's frustrating.

I recommend every one of these books - they’re inspiring, and informative. I like me some useful information. What’s on your nightstand? This isn’t one of those “fishing for engagement” questions. I really want to know. It says a lot about a person - the book on their nightstand, and Im always looking for good book recommendations.

Non-dominant - Doing portraits is a big learning curve for me. I get too tight. I try to hard. I expect too much. Doing portraits with my left hand takes all the pressure of, its fun and Im always intrigued by the final product.

Geography - I had never really thought much about how geography impacts international politics. I have learned so much from this book and have a more nuanced understanding of what is happening in the world because of it. The author makes the topic interesting and explains why knowing this information is relevant and important to understand. I will definitely read everything he has written.

Harvesting - Got a truckload of food from the garden today. Very happy with our haul. We wont need to buy veggies for a few months. Im trying to decide if I should plant a fall crop. I highly recommend the orange pear shaped tomato which is absolutely delicious and meaty.

Don’t give up! - My amazing art teacher has taught me to not give up on an art project just because its not going as I planned. In the past I would make a mistake, disappointed and assuming the project was ruined Id give up & throw it out. Now I keep going. I redraw lines or apply some color or just completely ignore the mistake. I carry on. The result is I have a whole bunch of interesting-to-me artwork that still captures the essence of what attracted and inspired me to start with. I think this is a practice in equanimity. I find so much life wisdom in the making of art. Thank you Luba 🤗 These 3 pieces have especially noticeable mistakes and I was very tempted to give up on the them.

Cornwall England started with a cream tea which is a jolly good way to start a visit if I do say so myself. Smashing! Fans of Doc Martin may be jealous that we’re in Port Isaac.
