The line everyone focuses on is “looks fantastic.”
That’s the easy part.

Most websites look good the day they launch.

The difference shows up later—when content needs to be updated, products change, and someone has to make those updates without breaking what’s already there.

We built this site to make the work of updating clearer and easier to maintain. That’s what holds up.

After 20 years in the business, one pattern has become clear:
Most businesses don’t think about their website day to day.
That’s normal.

The problem is when no one is watching it over time.
That’s when things start to slip.

Most website problems don’t start with something obvious.
They build slowly.

That’s where attention—and responsibility—matter most.

A small website issue shows up.
But the person who built the site is gone.

Now it’s urgent.
And expensive.

That situation happens more often than people expect.

A slow website doesn’t feel broken.
But visitors don’t wait around.

They leave—and rarely come back.
That loss is quiet.

Your website can look exactly the same…
…and still be losing visibility.

Search rankings change constantly.
If no one is watching, you don’t notice until traffic drops.

A form on your website can stop working—and still look like it’s working.

Someone fills it out.
They expect a reply.
They never hear back.

You don’t even know it happened.
That’s not uncommon. It’s just rarely seen.

After 20 years, one thing stands out.

Websites don’t usually break.
They slip.

Small issues add up over time—often without anyone noticing right away.

Until something stops working.
That’s where most problems start.

After 20 years in business, patterns start to show up.
Not just in technology, but in what actually causes websites to hold up — or break down.

As interGen marks its 20th anniversary this week, this short reflection from our founder, Brian Mitchell, names the values behind the work.

In practice, that looks like:
– Staying involved after launch
– Making decisions that hold up over time
– Keeping ownership clear
– Paying attention as things change

That’s what our values look like in real use...and where most websites succeed or fail.

Earlier this week our team was invited to a workshop with Scott Schwefel from Discover Yourself focused on energy styles, communication, and perception.

Now we’re back at our desks – applying it across virtual meetings, project notes, screen shares, and client calls.

We’re a remote team. Most of our collaboration happens asynchronously. That means clarity matters. Tone matters. Assumptions matter.

Understanding how each of us processes information, makes decisions, and reacts under pressure changes how we work together. And it shapes how we serve our clients.

The tools on our desks aren’t just personality reminders. They’re prompts to slow down and communicate in a way that actually lands.

Technical skill builds websites.
Clear communication sustains long-term partnerships.

Thankful to Shea Electric & Communications LLC for hosting a workshop that will strengthen how we communicate – internally and in our client work.

New site launch: Judicial Branch Education Academy

When an organization serves court leaders and judicial professionals, clarity and credibility matter.

This project began with no prior website — just the need for a stable, professional foundation that can support programs and communication long-term.
The result is a site built to last and easy to steward over time.

“The best web host is the one you never hear from.” That’s how Joomla co-founder Brian Teeman describes excellent hosting — consistent uptime, no unexpected drama, and infrastructure that just works.

That’s exactly the philosophy we bring to every site we host at interGen:
✔️ Stable, secure, proactively maintained environments
✔️ Joomla expertise you can reach when you need it
✔️ Hosting that supports your mission, not your stress level

This kind of feedback means a lot to our team.

Thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and real collaboration are what make projects work from planning through launch. We’re grateful for clients who engage the process and trust the partnership.
