Small + Mighty Design

I’m learning to love + embrace how my creative process ebb + flows in each season. Something I’m working on in 2022 is surrendering the pressure of what I think my process “should” look like and trust that stories with heart + soul already speak volumes when you stay curious. At times my creative process looks like a chaotic mess from the outside. But on the inside it’s a beautiful mess with intricate details that are always worth exploring.

I guess what I’m trying to say is don’t give up, friends, especially when it ignites something in your spirit! Even it’s not perfect or doesn’t quite make sense yet. Self-doubt can take you down a dark spiral of not feeling like you or what you believe in is enough. When you nurture your story, vision, or passion and give it the space it deserves incredible things can be revealed amidst the process. Sometimes the moments in between are the most refining + most rewarding. Those crucial moments are truly humbling + remind me why I do what I do.

Here’s a reminder to keep going, to be kind to yourselves + give yourself grace in the process 🤍

In the spirit of thanksgiving, I spent some time reflecting on things I am grateful for today.

~ Jesus’ faithfulness + kindness
~ having a loving husband + fur babe’s
~ building meaningful friendships
~ doing what I love
~ being alive + healthy
~ bringing people’s vision to life
~ learning to slow down + rest

Big or small, there is SO much power in simply giving thanks to God for all the good things he’s done. It certainly softens my heart and gives me perspective. His goodness, mercy, and kindness has no end. These things are my hope + joy today and everyday!

Fun fact: I didn’t always know I wanted to be a brand designer.

For those of you that don’t already know, I studied dance in college. I started dancing at age three and haven’t stopped since! It wasn’t until I branded for the dance company I co-own (with my bestie!) that I found a newfound passion in design. Obviously I had a lot to learn about this business and still do!

I love the intention behind design — I love the functionality, the strategy, the problem solving, the storytelling, and above all, the fact that I am able to share the creativity I was graciously given with others.
