FRTG PSA:
FRTG has officially updated our uniform standards. EMT students will now wear blue, while red will remain designated for our Paramedic program.
We have also added back lettering to our polos to enhance professionalism and program identity. Moving forward, class t-shirts will no longer be included in tuition. Instead, students will receive an additional polo.
This change is intentional—by eliminating t-shirts, we are reinforcing that the polo is the required uniform for clinicals, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and accountability across all programs.
This week marks Week One of FIRE II for our Fire Academy Class FF009. With 50 cadets in this class, we couldn’t be more proud of the dedication, discipline, and effort they’ve shown from day one.
We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding instructors at FRTG who continue to go above and beyond—not just teaching the curriculum, but mentoring and shaping the future of this profession.
Some of the best instructors in the business are right here at FRTG.
“IF NOT FRTG, THEN WHO…”

“GOD IS MY GPS!”
I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community. Some show it loudly, some quietly but I see it all. I also know there are those who disagree with how I do things, and others who prefer to speak from the shadows. That comes with the territory.
Let me share what I’ve learned over the past 13 years.
I opened First Response Training Group at 30 years old. Let that sink in. I started a college with $23,000, a GED, no business degree, no college education just a Paramedic license and a vision. That’s it. “VISION” with just ONE EYE!
I knew I wanted to make a real change not just in EMS, but in my family’s life and in the lives of others. Every step of the way, God guided me. And every time I lost my way, He put me right back on my path.
From day one, I committed to doing this my way staying true to who I am.
Am I raw? Aggressive? Persistent? Some might even say “ghetto.” I’m definitely not the typical CEO. But I’ve never pretended to be something I’m not.
Ask yourself this:
Does everyone love you?
Does everyone agree with how you do things?
Does everyone think you’re right or perfect?
Exactly.
At FRTG, I am not guided by opinions, negativity, or people telling me what can’t be done. I’m guided by purpose.
God put me on a mission to change lives through education and opportunity.
Here are the facts:
I have a GED.
No formal business background.
I’m not a nurse.
I’m not a firefighter.
I’m a Paramedic and I own a college.
We have some of the highest pass rates in the state across our programs.
We have graduated more students than most.
We own our building.
We operate four rescue units servicing contracts across Florida.
We partner with some of the best fire departments in Central Florida.
We’ve built one of the largest public safety colleges in the state starting with $23K and a GED.
These are not opinions. These are facts.
Are we perfect? No.
Are we always striving to be better? Absolutely.
But don’t tell me God isn’t with us. And don’t tell me we aren’t making a real, lasting impact on our community.
To everyone who supports us thank you. I am truly grateful for the blessings and the journey. 🙏🔥
