Crochet Tutorial & Patterns

With almost no knowledge of sewing, just the basics, I challenged myself to make this dress. Let me add, with no pattern, no manican, 😂 just a measuring tape, my body, bed and kitchen floor....... I used some vintage cotton sheets, I also thought why not add some boning to be extra bougie!!! 😘 And I did it!!!!! Its not perfect by any means, but I am so proud of myself.
I definitely have enough confidence to get a Gunne Sax pattern and make my dream dresses!!! Thought y'all would appreciate my work 💕💕💕💕💕

I thrifted and upcycled this dress. It was a women's size 16 and I'm like a 5/7. It's definitely the most elaborate dress I've done so far but I'm so proud of it! I love how it came out, I just need to shorten then purple ribbon and change the bow to the bottom instead of the top. It was also my first time making pockets, yes, this dress has pockets!😊☺️😁

Bridesmaid: which one?
Little brother’s wedding, fall season in a downtown/industrial/very Pinterest type setting, trying to decide between short sleeve & long sleeve. My husband loves the short sleeve but my sisters all prefer long sleeve. I thought I preferred short sleeve but now I’m second guessing. As an FYI, both were tried on & photos taken post-dinner/drinks lol to be more realistic with bloating/regular eating like I would at a wedding. Other bridesmaids are wearing a wide variety of styles (halter, spaghetti, long sleeve, one shoulder but no short sleeve that I know of)

Sooooo my thrifters , I had to go on an adult prom and found my dress for ……$1.00 on dollar day Sunday.

Help my fiancée, I'm useless
She's wondering if this is appropriate for a black tie event wedding. I think it looks great considering the venue is at a museum and the dress code states bright gowns. She's unsure if it's too much.

We were invited by my coworker, the groom, last minute and don't know anyone else. We have met the bride on one occasion if that matters.

Thrifted Wedding Dress

I plan on getting married sometime in early November and most of my wedding will be DIY. I just thrifted this gorgeous dress. $35. It has some small stains and isn’t my size, but thankfully I’ve been doing alterations for years and have worked on wedding dresses in the past. My sister found it online at a bridal store. Brand new it costs $3500.

Instant wedding dress regret

Hello! I’m having instant wedding dress regret. I’ve been shopping for a few weeks and thought I found the perfect one, but now I’m instantly regretting my choice. My mom bought it for me for $1400, but I still can’t get over this other dress that was $900. Both dresses are off the rack and would need alterations. I’m so regretting my choice that I’m leaning toward reimbursing my mom and buying the $900 dress.

I’m really struggling to decide between the two dresses. I want an unbiased opinion, so I won’t say which one is which. I just need help making a decision. I don’t want to regret the dress I wear for my wedding, but that would be another expense since it’s non-refundable and there are no guarantees that I can sell it for the amount I paid. All opinions welcome!
