Record breaking crowds this weekend! We met so many new people, saw awesome friends (including a surprise visit from Craig!) and had an amazing time!!

FULL CLOSURE OF I-285 PLANNED, MAJOR IMPACTS EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION

If you are planning travel to and/or through metro Atlanta this weekend, May 8-11, expect extreme delays and consider using alternate routes.

Crews will implement a full closure of all northbound and southbound lanes of I-285 between SR 139/Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (exit 9) and Cascade Road (exit 7) in Fulton County. The closure will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 8 and remain in place until 5 a.m. Monday, May 11, weather and on-site conditions permitting.

This is a full interstate closure on one of metro Atlanta’s most heavily traveled corridors. Expect:
- Significant, region-wide delays across metro Atlanta and potentially the larger region throughout the weekend
- Heavy congestion on I-20, I-75/I-85 (Downtown Connector), and Langford Parkway (SR 166)
- Spillover traffic on local roads throughout southwest Atlanta and Fulton County

Drivers are strongly advised to:
- Allow substantial extra travel time
- Consider alternate routes or adjust travel times
- Check traffic conditions before leaving using the 511GA app or other navigation tools or wayfinding apps.

DETOUR INFORMATION
Clearly marked detours will be in place:

Southbound I-285 traffic:
Diverted to I-20 (Exit 10) → I-75/I-85 southbound

Northbound and westbound I-285 traffic:
Diverted to SR 166/Langford Parkway (Exit 5)

This closure supports the ongoing I-285 Westside reconstruction project, which spans 10 miles from SR 14/South Fulton Parkway in College Park to Collier Road. Contractor work crews will mill and grind existing concrete pavement, preparing for slab repair and replacement. The full closure is required to safely accommodate heavy equipment operations, provide adequate workspace for crews, and protect motorists.

Georgia, we have no words for how amazing this past weekend was. The weather was perfect and we all had a blast together!

Oh Georgia, you sure know how to show a girl a good time! We met new people, saw some amazing dear friends and had so much fun that we both fell asleep before I could get these pics posted. ❤️

Here is a picture from 14 years ago. Tom and I had just started to learn how to make chainmaille for ourselves and never dreamed that in three years, we'd be vendors at one of our favorite shows. Instead, here we are as Playtrons, waiting for the gates to open wide. Georgia, we are grateful and proud to have been here for ten years. Here's to ten more! ❤️
