Sharing information - Thank you for allowing MDS to serve you!
Hospitalizations for COVID-19 are sharply up in Mississippi, almost entirely due to the new delta variant. This upturn shows just how infectious the new variant is for the unvaccinated. It’s a dangerous situation if you’re older and unvaccinated, but we’re concerned for younger folks, too, who are also being hospitalized with serious illness from COVID-19. There’s every expectation that this upward trend will continue. Please take steps to safeguard yourself and those around you. Getting a COVID-19 vaccination couldn’t be easier (and most are free). Check out https://www.vaccines.gov/search/ to find one near you. For complete information on vaccinations and how to get them, see our website at https://msdh.ms.gov/c19vaccination

Happy to share one of our awesome customers! Laci is definitely amazing!
This is shared by one of our clients. Thank you to all of the Funeral Homes we serve and Thank you for serving our community!
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
Today, there was a funeral. People cried. Tissues were crumpled and left on the tables. Flower petals fell to the floor. Now, the cleaning staff is making things tidy for the family who will be here tomorrow.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
Someone in our town died away from home, the funeral director is traveling many miles to bring him home and into the funeral home’s care. The light is on in anticipation of her safe return.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
Hospice called. The teacher who taught the funeral director -- and you -- in the third grade isn’t expected to make it through the night. He’s catching up on paperwork while he keeps vigil. Soon he’ll be called to the home and it will be his turn to take care of the teacher.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
There are computer problems. The video tribute file a family sent won’t work. We’re staying late to make it right for their service.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
It was a busy day today and we still need to notify Social Security and the Veteran’s Administration of a death.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
There’s been a terrible accident. We’re doing our best to make a loved one presentable so that they can say goodbye with dignity.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
The obituary a family gave us for their father is full of misspellings. We need to correct them and get it to the paper.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
We’re reviewing all of the details for tomorrow’s service. When will the celebrant arrive? Do we have drivers for the cars? Who will be the pallbearers?
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
We’re checking tomorrow’s weather in case we need the umbrellas.
It’s late, why is the light on at the funeral home?
The light is on because your neighbor, the funeral director, is pacing the floor. She can’t sleep. Tomorrow, she will oversee a service.

Just wanted to introduce you to one of our clients! Thank you Jennifer for choosing MDS for your medical waste company for South Mississippi Urgent Care!
I realized I have a lot of new followers to my page 😊 so I wanted to introduce myself! I am Jennifer Mayfield, owner of Sugar Tribe Sweets & Events. I have been a cake decorator (self taught) for 9 years. I had a dream to open a store front many years ago, but God had a few other plans for me on my career path which lead me to owning South Mississippi Urgent Care, which I love the medical field just as much as I love baking 😊 I just have two businesses on two total different ends of the spectrum. I opened the bakery May 2019 and it has been nothing short of a blessing. I love getting to know new customers and creating new sweet treats. We of course, as every business have had to make some adjustments throughout the COVID pandemic, but our customers have showed us nothing but love and support with continued custom orders and many repeat orders of our DIY kits we have put out! You guys have kept me busy and I am so very thankful to you, I love it! I just wanted to take a few minutes and introduce myself and my daughter Lisa we are the faces behind the bakery. I appreciate everyone’s patience with order responses and pick ups as some of you may not know every single thing baked from the bakery is baked and decorated by me so some days I get a little less sleep lol. My side kick has started learning how to decorate cupcakes and ice our paint your own cookies and paint by number cookies, and is turning into a good little baker. She is my reason why for everything I do ❤️😊. So I just wanted to say hello and I look forward to creating some sweet treats for you in the days to come! Thank you for supporting our small business!
