Members of our dual language team are enjoying day 1 of the 2026 Biliteracy World Cup presented by the OCPS Multilingual Department. Our team is staying up to date on best practices for our TWDL classrooms and having a ton of fun doing so. Wepa!

Castleview Elementary recently celebrated it's first group of students who completed our Spanish-English Dual Language program from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Our model integrates English, Spanish, and speakers of other languages in the same classroom with the goal of academic excellence and bilingual proficiency for all student groups. Look at what a bunch of our former Castleview students have been up to! If you are headed off to Horizon West Middle School, the theater department is always looking for amazing new talent. You could be apart of one of their award winning shows!

Congratulations to Cassandra Rodgers and the entire Horizon West Middle School Theatre program for being awarded one of this year’s Disney on Broadway School of Excellence Grants. Music Theatre International, Disney Theatrical Group, and Educational Theatre Association collaborate to award 20 grants nationwide, which include free performance rights, production materials, and the opportunity to participate in exclusive virtual webinars, sponsored by industry professionals.

Horizon West Middle School is staying busy right until the end of school this year with a production of All Shook Up Younger@Part at this year’s Orlando International Fringe Festival! Recently spotlighted on WFTV Channel 9, see HWMS at the Peach Venue this Thursday through Sunday. And please check out all the OCPS Theatre Programs participating in Fringe this year!
