On Wednesday evening, Mateo was able to go home. His ANC jumped up to 1.1, allowing him to finish healing at home. The Joe DiMaggio nurses quickly picked up on his car enthusiasm and made him extremely happy with a toy Porsche 911 GT3.

Update: We did get admitted due to Mateo having an ANC below 500 . He also tested positive for rhinovirus/enterovirus. This virus he usually catches a few times a year & it is always very hard on him 😞 He is so brave and strong. He has such an amazing and pure heart . He is really the sweetest . I love you Mateo and I wish I could give you the world and more. I wish I could take it all for you as well. 🥺🫶🏼🤍

Mateo hasn’t been feeling the greatest the past few days. During the night and this morning he did get a fever so I took him to the hospital. We are currently in a ER room waiting for results and to determine our next steps per usual. He is always so strong and brave 💪🏼🥺

A huge thank you to everyone from Dream Cars 4 Kids for making Mateo's birthday surprise so unforgettable yesterday! 🥰 It truly means the world to us, and he was beaming with joy. 💚 He loves spending time with his DC4K friends and had an absolute blast revving up every car. 😂🏎️ You've all helped create lifelong memories for him, and he cherishes every moment. 🫶🏼🥹 Thank you again to everyone who came out for Mateo, and a special thank you to the Polk County Fire Station for being there for Mateo as well & joining in on the fun.
