Today I had the privilege of listening to how people have experienced .

The common thread was warm welcomes that make you feel at , gathering around a table meals, knowing you have a place.

What a beautiful reflection of God’s heart.

What a unique opportunity we all have to make someone feel seen, even if it starts with a simple “hello”.

Goal for the week: initiate a conversation with a stranger. Ask them a meaningful question besides “How’s it going?”, and really listen.

Something I like to ask is: “What did you enjoy most about your weekend?”

The older I get, the more I value time and experiences over things. Things that up my , stuff that fills up a room or a closet but doesn’t serve a or joy have to be limited if not eliminated and given to those that need it more than I do.

What I undoubtedly enjoy is the quality built on things , and simply being.

What I remember most about our trip was three kinds of and together. Making something from is fulfilling, and there’s nothing quite like tasting your hard at the end.

Something that immediately drew me toward our church was the depth and care of the sermons. Context is established before we dive into God’s word, referencing the time and place the book was written, who’s writing it, and where else in the scripture you can see the focus highlighted.

I love the line by line teaching and how layers are peeled back to create greater understanding of who God is and how He can use our weaknesses and turn them into something good.

Worship is powerful, and the music rejuvenates and compels me to walk and talk with Christ just as you would a best friend.

I walk away feeling closer to God, knowing His heart, and trying to understand His will for me.

Today reminds us to be gentle and compassionate to the least deserving. Praise God that He is not fair, that He loves us with such grace and open arms, even when we don’t deserve it, even when we fall countless times. He encourages us to be greater than we are. He is risen.

I live for candids. There’s nothing sweeter than kids being their fullest selves, dancing without fear of judgement, twirling while the sun hovers over the horizon.

Their favorite song mixing with the sounds of waves rushing over the sand again and again. They carelessly jump around on fhe sand, unintentionally storing it between their toes. Sand that will inevitably make a home in the back seat of the car on the drive into the city.

Cliche as it may be, “Dance like no one’s watching.”

How can you not be all smiles with the amount of doggos around?

Started my photography career with live music. Itching to see more bands play.

I relocated from the Midwest, and grew up in a college town. Those that aren’t passing through for their 4-year degree are townies.

Townies know the best hole-in-the wall restaurants, who to call when your AC goes out, and are spoiled with the opportunity to meet new people from across the world because of the university.

Campus town falls silent during spring break, summer, and part of winter break, but come August the new crop of students roll in and life is bursting from Green street.

I had the privileged of learning about different cultures, embracing diversity, and getting to know people from all walks of life.

Having relocated to Florida, I’m very excited to listen to new people’s stories of how they met, what keeps them close, how they got to where they are physically and in life as a whole.

I have been truly blessed by God to have known clients since their high school / college graduations to their engagements, witnessing their marriage, capturing maternity photos, their baby’s first birthday party, taking family portraits, and everything in between.

It’s an honor to share in these momentous occasions with them, and it’s not just a business transaction for me. It’s a genuine relationship that I want to nurture. The community I came from is and will always be special to me, and I’m certain the one I’m in now is something great too.
