“[We know] that we are a part of a community that understands our struggle. The elves empowered us by letting us know that diabetes does not control us and we can live an amazing life with diabetes.” - Diana Anzola, mother of family visited. Dia-Elf Project 2025 was a success with a lot of smiles, hugs, and Christmas magic felt. Thank you to everyone who was a part of making so many precious moments happen!

Surprise! Today, elves and Dia-Elves (elves with diabetes) donated their day to remind kids to stay strong, not let health obstacles get in the way of happiness, and spread holiday cheer through dance and connection. This visit was special and they’ve been chattering the whole sleigh ride back to the North Pole that they can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you for inviting the elves over this holiday season. ❄️💙

🎅✨ Volunteer with the Dia-Elves ✨🎄
Spreading holiday cheer to kids with diabetes
This holiday season, we’re on a mission “to create an inclusive environment, where families can build positive core memories around diabetes during the holidays.”
We’re calling all cheerful hearts and holiday helpers to join our Elf Squad 🧝♀️🧝♂️ — a group of kind souls bringing gifts, laughter, and joy to kids with diabetes in our community.
❤️ Why It Matters
For many children with diabetes, the holidays can bring unique challenges. DiaElves help remind families that they are seen, supported, and celebrated — turning ordinary moments into positive core memories that last a lifetime.
💛WE NEED YOU💛
We’re looking for teens (13+) and adults—whether you have type 1, type 2, or no diabetes—who want to bring joy, hope, and smiles to families of children living with diabetes. The holidays can be overwhelming, especially for newly diagnosed kids, and you can help make them feel seen, celebrated, and part of a community by joining in on the fun of our annual holiday event, called Dia-Elves.
No dancing, singing, or acting experience required—but if you have it, we’ll put it to good use! Please spread the word to anyone you know!
📅 Weekly rehearsals: November 📅
Performances: December(exact dates are listed on the application)
Apply by October 5th: https://form.jotform.com/typezerofoundation/diaelf

Come be an elf, a helper, a friend —and make a holiday memory a child will never forget. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
