There’s nothing quite like fishing a new spot and catching an extremely rare and difficult breed of fish.
We traveled down to Charleston, SC to explore the marsh. Armed with two rods, barely any tackle, unlimited optimism, and absolutely no clue where we were going.
After nearly 10 grueling minutes of tirelessly rowing a kayak through the unforgiving backwaters of the Lowcountry, we finally hooked into something special.
The Illustrious Shellfish.
A true marsh giant.
Known for its incredible fighting ability, unmatched camouflage, and tendency to remain completely motionless once hooked. Some anglers spend a lifetime chasing one of these trophy fish. Most never get the chance to encounter one in the wild.
We were fortunate enough to land one on our very first trip to Charleston.
A catch like this changes a man.

FINADDICTS IS NOW OFFICIALLY IN Neuse Sport Shop IN CEDAR POINT, NC & KINSTON, NC‼️
Neuse is a place we’ve had our eyes on for years. To us, this isn’t just another store, it represents 5 years of growth.
When we first reached out to Neuse back in 2021, we were not ready. At that point, we had 3 shirt designs (one color each) and 1 hat design. No reputation, no history, no proven track record, and honestly, not enough product. And to be brutally honest… we didn’t even get a response.
But we never stopped working. Year after year, we kept building, kept improving, and kept showing up. Even when no one was watching. Slowly turning what once felt like a pipe dream into reality.
Fast forward to today: we have 18 shirt designs across 46 colors, 10 hat designs across 35 styles/colors, and we’re breaking into sun protection performance wear. We’re now in over a quarter of the states across the U.S. as far north as Maine, as far south as the Florida Keys, and as far west as Texas & Kansas, with a proven track record, a solid reputation, and steady growth behind us.
Five years ago, that door didn’t open.
This year, it did.
And that’s what makes this one special. It’s not just getting in. It’s knowing we earned it. We became undeniable and worked our way into belonging on those shelves.

A little late but here’s a highlight reel from some of the shenanigans at the 50th Anniversary of Surf Expo.
Three days of controlled chaos. Long drives, booth builds, handshake deals, loud laughs, late nights, and the kind of “networking” that doesn’t happen in a boardroom.
50 years deep and Surf Expo still goes hard. Old friends, new ones, and big moves being talked about over lots and lots of drinks. We’re so happy to be a part of such a great industry.
