Summer has officially arrived, and our Eagle World Tour is just getting started!

Today marks the June Solstice—the longest day of the year and the perfect reminder to soak up every opportunity for adventure, learning, laughter, and memory-making. Whether you're exploring a new destination, enjoying time with family, diving into a great book, or simply relaxing in the sunshine, we hope your summer is filled with unforgettable moments.

Don't forget to take Arbor Ridge pride along for the ride and share your Eagle adventures with us all summer long!

🎸🦅 EAGLE WORLD TOUR 🌎✨

Our headliner has been BUSY this week! 🤘

🎤 Rocked the 98th Annual Florida FFA State Convention with, Mrs. Jones and Mr. Nagy (seen taking a selfie with the East River HS Livestock Evaluation Team), joining more than 5,000 FFA members and guests from across the state for a week of celebrating agriculture

🏰 Explored stunning castles in Germany with Mrs. McCall—because every world tour needs an international stop!

🏔️ Flew all the way to Fairbanks, Alaska with Mrs. Doering, where the Eagle visited an eagle exhibit at the Morris Thompson Cultural Center, spotted a real bald eagle perched in a tree, met a reindeer along the Chena River, and took in the breathtaking beauty of Denali National Park.

🔬 Discovered hands-on fun at the Science Center with Mrs. Nunez and her children.

📚 And because rock stars never stop learning, the Eagle joined Mrs. Jones, Mr. Wensyel, and Mrs. DeMars at the Literacy Leadership Bridge professional development to learn more about our new K–5 ELA curriculum.

The 98th FLA FFA State Convention is In the Books!

The OCPS MAGNET students in our Arbor Ridge FFA Chapter are proud to celebrate an incredible accomplishment as our Nursery & Landscape Career Development Event (CDE) Team was recognized at the 98th Annual Florida FFA State Convention for earning 4th Place in the State of Florida! 🌱🏆

This outstanding achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion of our students and advisor, Mr. Nagy. We are so proud of the way our Eagles represented Arbor Ridge and showcased their knowledge and skills on the state stage.

Our team also attended a workshop and won the “Planting Seeds of Prosperity Quiz Bowl” this morning!

Today is the perfect day to get outside, enjoy some fresh air, and share a meal with family and friends. Whether you're at a park, the beach, your backyard, or on one of your summer adventures, we hope you take a moment to relax and enjoy the simple joys of summer.

Our Eagle World Tour may be traveling far and wide, but sometimes the best adventures are the ones right around the corner!

📚🦅 The Eagle World Tour has made a special summer stop... at the library!

While our Eagle is traveling the world this summer with out staffulty, don't forget to take an adventure through reading, too. Every book opens the door to a new destination!

The Second Lady's Summer Reading Challenge invites K–8 students to read and track 12 books of their choice between June 1 and September 4. Students who complete the challenge can receive a personalized certificate, a commemorative America 250 bookmark, and a special prize opportunity.

Whether you're reading at the beach, by the pool, on a road trip, or in your favorite cozy spot, keep those pages turning all summer long!

Our Eagle has been busy making memories and representing Arbor Ridge wherever the journey leads!

Since our last update, the Eagle has:
✈️ Traveled with Mrs. Brown and Mr. Brown, Principal of West Oaks Elementary
🏝️ Visited Bermuda, St. Maarten, San Juan, and the Dominican Republic with Mr. Nagy
☕ Enjoyed breakfast with our Middle School Math Team as they redeemed their Teacher Appreciation Week gift from our Partner in Education, Hampton Inn
🍽️ Enjoyed lunch with Mrs. Ferguson and Mrs. Nunez
🎢 Visited WonderWorks with Mrs. Bumpus Weaver, Mrs. Ferguson, and Mrs. Nunez
🎓 Attended the final session of the Preparing Future Principals Academy alongside Mrs. Jones

From tropical destinations to local attractions, staff celebrations, and professional learning, our Eagle continues to soar near and far this summer!

Our Arbor Ridge Eagle has been collecting miles and making memories all across the map this week!

🚢 Set sail aboard the Independence from New Jersey/New York with Mr. Nagy.

💅 Enjoyed a little self-care with pedicures alongside Mrs. Ferguson.

🎳 Rolled a few strikes while bowling with Mrs. Ferguson.

🎣 Reeled in some summer fun fishing on the Banana River with Mrs. Ferguson.

☀️ Floated the day away in a lazy river in Dallas, Texas, with Mrs. Kendall.

🎭 Took in the dazzling performance of SIX: The Musical at Dr. Phillips with Mrs. Kendall.

🌉 Wandered through a picturesque covered bridge in the North Georgia mountains with Mrs. Doering.

📚 Continued learning and growing with Mrs. Jones during more sessions at the Instructional Leadership Learning Academy (ILLA).

From Broadway lights to mountain sights, lazy rivers to leadership learning, our Eagle is proving that every adventure is a chance to learn, connect, and soar higher.
