This morning, I had the opportunity to attend a fundraising breakfast for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida. The children’s performances were beautifully done and the support that these clubs are giving the children in our community is amazing!  Bonus, I hot to see one of my sorority sisters, Yvette Rodriguez!  

Happy to have attended the board meeting of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers today as a chapter rep for the Central Florida chapter. It was good to hear from criminal defense attorneys around the State and move forward on the strategic goal of FACDL.

Thank you Pine Hills Comminity Council for a very informative meeting tonight. We learned about Orange County’s Innovation and Technology plans for alone shills. We also heard from Jason Henry and Commissioner Mike Scott on the proposed redistricting maps. Always a good conversation with an engaged community!

Had a great time last week at the Paul C Perkins Welcome Reception! Thank you to the board for a wonderful event. Always good to see current and former PDs out and about 😁

Great weekend speaking with the Democractic Women’s Club of West Orange County. I was able to reconnect with one of our former APDs, which is always good. Then it was on to an early voting event for Lavon Bracy Davis running for Senate seat District 15 and Rashon Young running for House seat in District 40. Early voting is happening now and Election Day is September 2nd. If you live in those districts please remember to vote, your voice matters.

Last night we were able to hear from Congressman Frost on some of the most important issues we are facing today. We also heard important information from Ella Woods on challenges that our hospitality workers are facing in central Florida. Thank you Oc Dems for putting on this important program. 

Last night I was thankful to attend an event for the Leage of Women a voters which was held at a lovely home in Maitland. Afterwards, I spoke at the Orange County Dems mingle out in Avalon Park updating the community about our office, the work we do, and the latest on the immigration laws. We also heard from Property Appraiser Amy Mercado, always a motivational speaker!

Tonight I had the honor of being the guest speaker at the Osceola Democrats meeting! Thank you for allowing me to talk about our office, our work, and our community. I really enjoyed the questions and lively discussion. Thank you!

Had the opportunity to stop by congressman Maxwell Frost office today. He was hosting a community open house where he was answering questions and discussing bills he is introducing. Thank you congressman Frost for all you were doing. We see you fighting every day. 

I cannot explain how happy I am in this position! Every day I go to work grateful for the opportunity to serve this office and our community. Last night I had opportunity to wear our new Public Defender With Pride tshirt for the first time. I attended a bowling event to support the Zebra Youth Foundation which supports local LGBTQ+ Youth. I would also love to give a shout out to Nicole Bamberski and Bree Lawrenson (pictures below) for all of their support! None of this is possible without help.
