(S4:EP6) HORACE PINKER-Signal Chords “Home of The Underground” Podcast! 06/14/2026

🚨OUT NOW!!!

🗣️ (S4:EP6) feat. Horace Pinker

🤝 Presented by 1603 Designs

🗯 This week on the podcast, we welcomed Chicago punk rock band, Horace Pinker for an in-depth conversation covering everything from upcoming shows and touring adventures to new music and festival memories.

We kicked things off by talking about the band's upcoming appearance at **Pre-Pre-FEST** on October 21st at Will's Pub in Orlando, where they'll share the stage with A Wilhelm Scream, Drag The River, Don't Panic, The Raging Nathans, and more.

From there, we discussed THE FEST in Gainesville (October 23rd–25th), one of punk rock's most celebrated annual gatherings. Having played the festival three times previously, the band shared their thoughts on what makes FEST such a special event and why they continue to look forward to being a part of it.

The conversation then turned to Horace Pinker's recent split EP with The Raging Nathans, exploring how the collaboration came together. We highlighted the band's contributions to the release, including the tracks "Another Way" and "Redeemer," and talked about working with producer Dan Precision (Rise Against, 88 Fingers Louie).

We also caught up on their current tour with Celebration Summer, which has them traveling through cities across Connecticut, New York, and Virginia. Along the way, we discussed life on the road and what to expect to see at a HP show!

Another exciting topic was how the band connected with Pulley, ultimately leading to support dates overseas in Germany and Belgium. That opened the door to a conversation about international touring and the major differences between touring Europe and the United States.

Of course, we couldn't leave without talking about what's next. Horace Pinker shared details about new music currently in the works, including their take on Hüsker Dü's "Ice Cold Ice." Listeners can also catch the exclusive premiere of the track right here on the podcast.

All this and much more in a conversation packed with stories, laughs, and insight from one of punk rock's enduring bands.

🗯 Sometimes the only way to feel better is to spend some time feeling bad. Countless albums have provided the soundtrack for picking yourself back up, but Public Opinion are there for when you’re getting kicked while you’re down.

Their sophomore album, the cheekily titled The Curse of Public Opinion (AUG 7th) , is a ten-song, 23-minute ode to frustration and disappointment–all set to some of the catchiest punk songs you’ll hear this year. Who knew swallowing a bitter pill could be this fun?

🗯 Have you checked out A Wilhelm Scream newest video for “Fell Off” yet? It’s 💯🔥

🙏🏻 Many thanks to Trevor from AWS for the promo. Stoked to include it alongside the video on our upcoming podcast with Horace Pinker.

Stay tuned!

🗯 Just wrapped up an amazing convo with Horace Pinker. Podcast drops soon. More to come!

WARPED TOUR HERE WE COME! Picked up the new branded tent and tent wall (with video still image by @derrickandlyndsay ) and it looks great, thanks @smartpunkmfg ! My bud Brad @signalchords helped me do some quality control and now Liz & Seth are on the road from Orlando up to Washington DC.

This @vanswarpedtour means a lot to me because all of my Northeast friends will be there. NPR was run out of Boston from 1996-2000 and New York City from 2007-2014 and released a lot of local bands from that area including: 5-Driver (PA), Over It (NorVA), The June Spirit (NJ), The Progress (NJ), The Offseason (MA), John Connor (NJ), The Goodwill (NY), Gone Stereo (NY), Little Yellow Box (CT), Lipmonger (CT), The Last Second Save (MD), Sleep In. (PA), Grip on the World (PA).

In the early 2000s , I had bands play various small stages on a few dates of Warped, but I never had a booth. Back then, this label didn’t make t-shirts for our bands, and the cost associated with recording, manufacturing, and promotion was so great that I couldn’t square doing a vendor booth. My thought process back then was that I could either invest in merch, a tent, gas, hotel, and do #warpedtour , or sign 1-2 new bands and I just love working with new bands so I always chose more releases. As @overitband said, “Hindsight is Always 20/20” and maybe the label missed out on an opportunity back then. Well, now that I have a second chance, it’s all-in on the vendor booth and I’m stoked to be continuing to spread the music that I have released for the past 30 years! Warped Tour has fewer shows and the individual dates are WAY bigger, but this is still a community of friends.

See ya this weekend at the #punkrock show.

🗯 Revisiting this classic tonight. If you’ve been following this page for a while, you already know I’m Be Well fanboy #1. Their music has been a source of comfort, perspective, and therapy for me over the years.

What artist or band does that for you?

Whose music feels like therapy when you need it most?
