The kiddo and I got the Dana 60 heavy duty Yukon diff cover on today using a L**e Locker gasket to make sure it never leaks, as well as filled it with fresh AMSOIL INC. 75-140 gear oil. I went with the heavier oil because while J20 won't be a tow pig, it will definitely continue to see some heavy loads and random towing duty, and probably some light to medium duty offroading. I also got the intermittent wiper setup installed and working today. No more off/low/hi only for the wiper function. 😁 I think this pretty much wraps up everything I wanted to do to the drivetrain to ensure it's good to go for many miles. Now we can get back to interior comfort work. The kiddo will be thrilled. 😂

The kiddo had no school on Friday, so we had a fun long weekend kicking it, watching Willow, playing Monopoly, etc. We did get productive this evening, though. She learned how to clean parts using the parts washer, how to remove driveshafts, change U Joints, and reinstall driveshafts. I also threw in an MSD Blaster 2 coil to replace the stock style one I got from O'Reilly when we drove the J20 home from Tennesse last spring. It was hooked up questionably because the stock horseshoe plug was long gone. Now I should have a way stronger spark and I know the connections are much better and more secure. 😁

I got yet another message about the Chinese engine in the blue square body. I think what he did is cool as hell, but not new.... BITD, you had Conley. They're legendary. If you're not familiar with them, get familiar. These were thousands of dollars, which equates to tens of thousands today, but rightly so. That is one dream I don't think I'll ever attain, but I did work with a guy who had several of them. He said he usually put half down and it could take 2 or 3 years to get the engine. Purely handmade, crazy s**t.
