comment “PICKUP” for a link to the Mother’s Day pickup options 💌 local pickup in Orem Utah. Swipe for all details + instructions! PLEASE let me know if you have any questions here, as this will be the easiest way to see / answer them all!

Last year, I printed hundreds “My First Home” prints the weekend of Mother’s Day for local pickup 🕊️ i painted it for my mom, who was about to be an empty nester. It was so special writing the notes to all the women in your lives — seeing what the art meant to you, and why it reminded you of them. I read notes about hope, grief, loss, gratitude. I read childhood memories, love notes, so many thank you’s — husbands to wives, daughters to moms, grandsons to grandmas. I hope you feel held, appreciated, and loved this weekend, whatever Mother’s Day holds and represents for you 🌼💛

This year I’ve sent hundreds of “The Quilters” prints, and written notes to grandmas & moms & friends, thanking them for the gifts and care they’ve poured out. How they’ve mended, stitched up, and created beautiful lives from the chaotic threads and pieces they had. This painting is so, so special to me! 🥹

This local pickup is a labor of love — but it gives me the opportunity to help you celebrate the women you love, and make sure they don’t end the day empty handed. Art is meaningful, and the perfect meaningful gift! It can say so much, with just a little.

Happy Mother’s Day, from me to you 💌💌 xo

‘Early Spring’ 🕊️ 20% off everything, just for mom—my print sale ends soon! Last orders need to be placed by Tuesday for best chance at arriving for Mother’s Day 💌 comment for a direct link to this painting!

In my opinion, art makes for the most meaningful gift 💛 Pick a painting that reminds you of the incredible women in your life, write a note to go with it, & pair with a frame!

—————

An endless blanket of white
when the sky and earth blend together

Darkness so heavy upon my eyes
I don’t recall ever seeing the sun.

But then gently the dark is brushed from my lids,
like a miracle, sight returns.

By Hands pierced with a thorn of my once buried soul,
I stretch myself toward the Son.

Winter that turned into early spring;
the pattern I couldn’t recall

Blossoms and birds return once again,
how did I ever forget their song?

‘I never forgot you’
the green seems to say

swirling pink and yellow
that echo the dawn

‘Remember,
I was here all along’

the colour of my life lives on these walls

Photos from The Color Amber's post 02/26/2026

this time of year, coming out of late winter & into early spring, always feels so hopeful and full of life 🌞 I would usually be painting for Easter already, but this year I’m prepping instead for another special project

I realize I never reshare any of my old works, so here are some of my Easter paintings from the past few years—and my favorite lines from the artist statements I wrote about them 🤍

Sometimes I forget He knows my name
in this world so vast and full

That He hung each star above my head,
arranged the constellations just so

Set them in place like notes on a staff,
conducted into a song

Wrote the harmonies of my highs + lows
the humming melody of my soul

For all of time, forward and back
conducting clouds + stars the same

Spilt out across the inky black
words from letters rearranged

Then comes to me,
with His cosmic masterpiece

and titles it: my name

skipped a few weeks oops 😅 a look inside my studio this week — Feb. 1-7th

I love making these posts because it helps me refocus & appreciate all the little moments of a week. Slow progress on these paintings, but still progress!

the algorithm rat race favors new work & churning out masterpieces on a weekly basis. Catchy hooks & controversial opinions & dancing… but that’s not the realistic speed of my studio, and I’m trying to embrace it! I want to share weekly studio journals — what I’m working on, what’s in progress / inspiring me / on my mind. Things I don’t usually have a good place for with the speed of Instagram!

So here’s week 1 of 52, this week in the studio 🌞
