I was having a good conversation with some peeps the other day and one cool kid reminded me that I should only compare myself to the previous me. I like that.

Yesterday my two littles were extremely quiet. I asked what they were doing and my daughter said ‘nothing’. I walk over to the closed pantry door and see a few flakes of oatmeal on the ground. I open the door and my daughters informs me ‘we’re having an oatmeal party’. She grabbed a handful of oatmeal throws it in the air and let’s it fall like snowflakes over her, her brother, and the pantry shelves. Turns out you need about 30 cups of oatmeal to have a proper oatmeal party. 😂

Adventure. Love. Respect. Three of the words I’d use to describe these two lovely people. Was I scared of falling through the ice while walking across the lake.. maybe.. well most definitely, yes I was. But it was worth it!

Watching families grow and change is one of my favorite aspects of what I do. This wasn’t something I thought about when I started taking photos a decade ago but I have to come to really enjoy seeing how families change, grow, and expand their love over time.

Family is everything. The parents of these three amazing kids know that and show that. ❤️
