Behind the scenes there have been approximately 2,000 employees who have helped support the dream of José and Felicitas Rubio. We are so grateful for this group of incredible employees who are a part of our last night crew. They along with Lucia, Katrina and others helped us reach our goal today.
Thank you to each of you who have worked behind the scenes. You are the silent foundation that has upheld the El Azteca Legacy.
Cheers to you all!

Friends and Familia:
There has been an overwhelming amount of support, love and visits. Please know that while the lines are long today we will do our best to get you all of your favorites.
As demand is high, we will post which favorites are not available as the day goes by. Last night we served so many friends that by 8:30 pm your favorites had sold out. We will do our best to keep the doors open as long as we can today!
Again we appreciate the response, please know that as we take time to consider our next step we take with us all of the kind gestures, words of encouragement and more importantly the memories and friendships made over the last 55 years!
Muchas Gracias for making our El Azteca family a part of your lives and family traditions for 55 years!

Thank you so much! We have had so many best wishes and beautiful stories shared. We are immensely grateful for your continued support.
In 1962, José Rubio traveled with his son from Tijuana to help a young man who had started the first Mexican Restaurant in Utah County. When he saw that it sat at the foot of BYU campus he knew that his dream of providing his children an education was possible. Soon his wife and daughters joined them and together they established a legacy that is 55 years in the making.
As the children, grand children and even great and great-great grandchildren we recognize the invaluable example that José and Felicitas left us. However, none of this would have been possible if you had not joined us in the journey. Muchas Gracias for opening your hearts and families to each of us. Thank you for sharing the wonderful, the good and sometimes the messy! Thank you for sitting at our table and creating this beautiful legacy together.
During the next two days, as this chapter comes to an end please know that your kind words, faces and stories mean the world to us.
All we can simply say is Muchas Gracias.
