To understand Recession Boards, you have to get to know Danny Sommers. Danny grew up in Whittier California with hobbies of bike riding, and skateboarding.

Later, he moved to Vista California near Oceanside. Vista was more rural then Danny was used to, but made do with the bumpy roads by spending time at the beach and building and riding his first half pipe.
