Imagine this entire space filled with wood to make charcoal for silver mining: Beehive kilns make me feel so tiny.

A week after a rainstorm passed near Hurricane, Utah, the top layer in the desert dries to a thin chip of refined clay perfection 🌧️ ☀️ 🌵

Clay in a state park means look and appreciate but don't collect :)

Sometimes I'm in areas where material collection is not possible: I'm looking at you National Parks and Tribal lands ;)
I ABSOLUTELY respect these rules!
Sometimes it's hard digging through all the guidelines before I dig up a sample... but hat just makes moments like this where I find two deposits in one place even more exciting 😁
