Day 3, the final day of my one-on-one spring pruning session with 🌿

A warm 90° day working outside, but the swamp cooler definitely helped keep us cool in the heat 😎

Finished the day grilling some skewers for dinner, with stopping by to visit and check out the garden.

Feeling incredibly grateful for the high-level knowledge and techniques Peter shared over these past few days. Definitely leaving this session feeling pumped, with lots of pruning ahead before his next visit in July 🤙🏾

This Japanese White Pine has deep Utah roots — originally owned by Ben Scolari, founder of the Bonsai Club of Utah, dating back to the 1980s.

Now it’s moving into the care of my student James, and I couldn’t be happier knowing this legendary Miyajima will continue to thrive right here in Utah.
