We're thinking about all forms of transportation as we address current and future needs. That's why we partner with UTA! We're developing bus, Frontrunner, and rail options as we look to improve and plan for future growth in Utah County.

As we go through the updating process for TransPlan50, we are striving to achieve these 5 main goals: 1. Update the Regional Highway System to a Metropolitan Grid-Based Network 2. Explore Additional Freways and Add Capacity 3. Create a Robust Regional Transit System 4. Build a Regionally Connective Active Transportation System 5. Preserve What we Have

A Regional Transportation Plan (or RTP) is a plan created to meet transportation needs for our growing region, while minimizing impacts on society and the environment. MAG has been updating Utah County's RTP, called TransPlan50, since last year. This updated plan is expected to be finalized Summer 2023!

RTP Map TransPlan50 is the regional transportation plan for urbanized Utah County. The proposed projects and programs are a coordinated system of capital-intensive roadway projects, transit improvements, and pedestrian/bicycle facilities needed over the next thirty years.
