Technology Rocks at Oregon School District
We would like to share all the wonderful ways students and teachers are using technology in their classroom.
6th Grade STEAM students design and build robotic animals that use sensors, LEDs, and motors to interact with their environment. These innovative creations are projects from RCI's Quarter 1 students. We are looking forward to seeing what students create the rest of the year at RCI and FES!

Netherwood 3rd graders learned about ways 3D printing helps to solve problems. Then they created their own 3D Winter Image using the Tinkercad program. Their frame and image was 3d printed and ready for the arboretum window. In this project, they learned a lot of technology and math tools in the program. Great job!
Stuck in a Snow Globe by NKE 4th Grade
In 4th Grade, we talked about what it means to have a HEALTHY Media Balance. So each student created a resolution for what they could do to achieve that goal. In some cases, it might be listening to music that makes them feel happy, or watching a show or movie with another person instead of alone. A another idea was to practice good balance with the amount of screen time they have. So instead of getting stuck on too much technology, we decided to get stuck in Snow Globes instead.
Here are a few examples of student work.
