Lunar Ridge Farm

First show of the season didn't disappoint! Thank you to everyone who helps put on the NWODGA show, such a fun show to kick off show season. 😍🤩

With these twin bucks, we wrap up kidding season here at Lunar Ridge! Final kid count: 11 does, 18 bucks. Now to get the first fresheners on board with the milking routine and start thinking about show season. 😁

When you're born during morning chores, you get to be work goats for the day.

Things don't always go as planned. When they don't, I'm thankful for friends, fellow breeders, mentors and vet hospitals that are a phone call or trailer ride away. A night spent at OSU Large Animal hospital wasn't in the itinerary, but I am so appreciative of being able to load up the trailer and go. They were able to help a doe in distress during labor and deliver her kids, including a live doe kid, without the need for a c-section. Make sure to thank your vets and your village, I know I couldn't do it without them!

Sometimes you're born the runt and need extra snuggles!

"What do you mean we don't get to live in the house forever?" First set of kids got relocated to the barn yesterday, and were rightfully offended by the move!

Because the big trough and buckets in the barn aren't good enough, Dollar enjoying fresh rain.

Elf eared buck/Doe twins to kick off kidding season! Of course it's the buck who got the wattles!
