Hello everyone,

Los Angeles County is transitioning to online schooling to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. Despite this being a good idea for the well-being of our community, it might have an impact on the education students will receive. I have been talking with elementary students about their experience with online schooling, and it hasn't been positive. Online schooling requires little effort from the student, and they are left alone. They are given an assignment that comes with a quick lecture, and they alone have to figure it out in some cases that would be the students' only assignment for the day. What used to be an 8hr school day became a 2-3hr online school day. How will you (the parent) assure that your child will get the property education? Education isn't just to get a degree and job, but it is the intellectual formation of a child's perception of the world.
