The Visual and Media Arts Academy was delighted to begin celebrating the Christmas season with a night on the town at the South Coast Repertory! The heartwarming performance of “A Christmas Carol” brought smiles and reminded us of the joy we can choose to bring into the lives of others!

Congratulations to our very own senior MJ Pfaff on being a finalist (1 of 4) in the OC Artist of the Year Award competition! We are so proud of you!! MJ is an amazing artist and has incredible skill in realism and abstraction. Come see her artwork displayed at the end of the year art show along with her fellow AP Art & Design classmates this Saturday, May 17th .

Join us for our end of the year Art Show: Out for Recess! May 17th 5pm-8pm. AP Art & Design students present their portfolios @ 6pm on the Nechita Stage. Gourmet Ice Cream for purchase as well as our OLu Jazz Band performing. Hope to see you there to celebrate all of our amazing artists!

Fabulous day seeing the dress rehearsal for Romeo and Juliet LA Opera in the famously iconic Dorothy Chandler Pavillon. We have amazing students in our Arts and Humaities Academies - so inquisitive, art-loving and kind! Love them!!! Now home to hand out the Halloween candy!!!

Our AP Art & Design and AP Art History classes took a field trip to the Getty Villa. Our young artists and art historians saw beautiful Roman architecture, gardens and art, Greek vases, as well as Egyptian art including a real mummy!
