The Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling at UC Irvine School of Medicine's Department of Pediatric We now have more than 180 graduates.

UC Irvine was one of the pioneers in genetic counselor education. The Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling at the UC Irvine School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics began in 1973, at a time when only five other institutions in the nation offered a master's degree in genetic counseling.
