At Good Child Transitional Center, we know that behind every bright, confident child is a supportive circle of family. Following our wonderful Mother's Day Tea Party, it’s now time to celebrate the amazing men in our school family with a Super Sundae Ice Cream Party! πŸ¨πŸ•ΊWe had a sweet afternoon of ice cream building, mask making, and quality time with the children! Thank you to all the Dads and Grampas for celebrating with us! We hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day!

β˜€οΈ Sunshine, smiles, and non-stop play! πŸŽ’πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Our playground was full of high-energy adventures today! Our Preschoolers had a blast soaking up the beautiful weather. Whether racing across the grass or climbing through our colorful playground tunnels, outdoor play gives our kids a fantastic space to explore and stand out!

We love balancing our focused classroom activities with this dynamic, gross motor outdoor time to ensure our students grow happy, healthy, and strong.

Parents: What is your child's absolute favorite thing to do at the park? Running, sliding, or climbing? Tell us below! πŸ‘‡

Thinking outside the boxβ€”one block at a time! 🧠✨

You can see the absolute concentration on our student's face as he designs a small world using stacking rocks building blocks. Unlike toys with only one purpose, these open-ended materials allow our preschoolers to problem-solve, experiment with balance, and let their unique imaginations lead the way.

We love providing an inclusive environment where children have the time and space to explore their creative superpowers!

Parents: Does your child prefer building tall towers, cozy houses, or complex little towns at home? Tell us in the comments! πŸ‘‡

Keeping our most precious treasures safe! πŸ›‘οΈβ€οΈ

At Good Child Transitional Center, the meaning of life is rooted in protecting and nurturing the potential of our amazing students. Today, our school family is celebrating a massive win for our classroom safety infrastructure!

We want to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to the Quinnipiac School of Nursing Community Engagement Program for their incredible donation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to our facility.

This generous gift gives our parents, guardians, and staff immense peace of mind. From our "little learners" mastering their fine motor skills inside to our big outdoor gross motor adventures, we are now fully equipped to protect the hearts that beat inside these walls.

Thank you for standing with GCTC and helping us keep our community safe, thriving, and prepared for anything! πŸŒŸπŸ™Œ

πŸš€ Ready for blast-off! πŸ›Έβœ¨

Today we are celebrating Space Day the best way we know howβ€”with hands-on, delicious learning! Making our own 'UFO Pizzas' allowed our little learners to practice patience, steady hand-eye coordination, and fine motor precision as they carefully crafted their edible spaceships.

We love creating memorable, theme-based experiences that show our students how much fun discovery can be! πŸŒŒπŸ•

Parents: If your little one could travel to any planet in the solar system, which one would they choose? Let us know in the comments below! πŸ‘‡

Snap, stack, and create! πŸ› οΈπŸŽ¨

Our classroom was a hub of pure innovation today as our little learners took on a LEGO building challenge. Watching them problem-solve when a tower gets too tall or collaborate to build a giant house is what our school family is all about. We love providing a space where every child's unique imagination is supported and celebrated!

What is your child’s absolute favorite thing to build at home? Let us know in the comments! πŸ‘‡

Diving Into a Good Book! πŸ¦πŸ“–
There is nothing quite like watching a child get completely lost in a story. In "Adventures of PAWS", one of our little learners is deeply focused, exploring the pages of a colorful book featuring our mascot, Mr. Paws! Early reading habits are the foundation for language development, vocabulary building, and a lifelong love for learning.

β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™ Happy Memorial Day to Our Wonderful Families!
We want to wish all of our amazing families a beautiful, safe, and meaningful Memorial Day.

While our center is closed today, Monday, May 25, 2026, for the holiday, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the brave heroes and military families who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom.

Our "little learners" spent last week preparing for this special day, learning about Memorial Day, and practicing their fine motor precision by carefully cutting out bright red stripes to build our classroom American flags. Seeing their little hands do big things with such focus reminds us of the bright futures we are all building together!

Whether you're firing up the grill, heading to a parade, or enjoying some sunshine, we hope your weekend is filled with love and laughter.
