Over the weekend I was crowned an Ironman. After 140.6 miles of swimming (2.4 miles), biking (112 miles) and running a marathon (26.2 miles) I was proud to cross the finish line representing the brand to thousands of athletes and spectators from around the world.
This journey to starting the race has been long, painful and full of sacrifice. The gratitude of finishing the race is humbling.
A HUGE thank you to Coach Ali at TRIumph Coaching, LLC for her resilience in coaching through a busy schedule and a last second round of COVID. I could not have imagined how valuable a coach would be and I look forward to working with her in 2023!
Thank you to .lynn12 for holding things together at home. It’s not easy being an Ironman supporter. It takes just as much discipline in managing a household during long training sessions and my lows and highs. There is not a better training partner than a supportive spouse.
Last, thank you to all of the Josh Chocolate friends for your support and kind words along this journey.
See you soon!

Say “hi” to Gordon, Josh Chocolates first W2 employee. I first met Gordon at the South Orange Farmers Market where he stopped to learn about chocolate and the process of making it. After a few visits I quickly learned his energy matched mine and that I had to spend more time teaching him about chocolate. Many of the products that you have had or will come to enjoy will have been assembled or labeled by Gordon.
Gordon comes to us from the where he is coached to find jobs and mentored through the onboarding and job training process. This is only one of the amazing programs that the Jespy House offers their clients.
Gordon is not on Instagram, but please send your appreciation in the comments and I will gladly share with him.
ABOCFA (Aponoapono Biakoye Organic Cocoa Farmer’ Association) is a farmer cooperative based in Suhum, Ghana, known for producing the highest quality traceable cacao in the region.
I first learned of this association almost a year ago following Kristy at as she danced, laughed and helped harvest these beans along side the farmers. I admit, I smiled as large as they did while roasting and tasting these nibs.
This chocolate will be used for bonbons, milk and dark chocolate production, enrobing and chocolate bars with inclusions.
Tasting notes: Cheerios, fudge, light caramel
